Verification and evaluation of the explosion protection concept.
The Hungarian legislation transposing Directive 1999/92/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council on minimum requirements for improving the safety and health protection of workers at risk from explosive atmospheres is Joint Decree 3/2003. (III. 11.) FMM-ESzCsM of the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs on minimum occupational safety requirements for workplaces in potentially explosive environments.
The explosion protection documentation is a control report on the combined effect of the technical and organizational measures applied at workplaces exposed to explosive hazards, intended to verify compliance with employer obligations under the applicable legislation.
The inspection report we prepare is structured and formatted in a way that makes it suitable for demonstrating compliance with the requirements of the joint decree 3/2003. (III. 11.) FMM-ESzCsM on the minimum occupational safety requirements for workplaces in potentially explosive environments, together with the fulfillment of the necessary employer duties (e.g., training, etc.).
In terms of content, the report includes the following:
- verification of the application of primary protective measures and documentation of the remaining explosion risk (zoning);
- verification of the implementation of secondary protective measures and identification of the explosion risk caused by effective ignition sources (ignition source assessment);
- verification of the implementation of tertiary protective measures and identification of adverse risks resulting from explosion overpressure;
- application of the fundamental principles applied in explosion protection;
- verification and assessment of the explosion hazard risks of workplaces and work activities, taking into account Council Directive 89/391/EGK on the introduction of measures to encourage improvements in the safety and health of workers at work;
- verification of organizational (work organization–related) protective measures.;
- evaluation of the established explosion protection concept.
