Under Chapter XIII of Decree No. 54/2014 (XII. 5.) of the Ministry of Interior on the National Fire Protection Regulations, protection against electrostatic charging is deemed adequate pursuant to Section 145(5) if the design, installation, operation, and maintenance are carried out in accordance with the relevant technical requirements, or in a manner providing at least equivalent safety, and if the protection against electrostatic charging is assessed as adequate by the inspector following the review (inspection). This requirement is further emphasised in Subsection 131 of Chapter XX of the referenced Decree, which addresses inspection, maintenance, and review.
Pursuant to Section 278(§) of Decree No. 54/2014 (XII. 5.) of the Ministry of Interior on the National Fire Protection Regulations, the execution of this inspection activity is mandatory prior to commissioning, following any modification or expansion, after a fire incident, after a change in technology, or for existing buildings and open areas providing electrostatic protection at least every three years, unless the manufacturer or installer specifies a shorter interval in the technical description, documentation, or installation process documentation.
